CEFR Lecturers Ranked in the World's Top 2% Scientists 2023 by Stanford University

Center of Excellence in Fungal Research proudly announces the inclusion of five of its esteemed lecturers/researchers in the global list of the top 2% scientists, as unveiled by Stanford University on October 4, 2023. This prestigious acknowledgment recognizes scholars for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields, with a focus on the frequency of citations their publications receive from peers worldwide.

Stanford University's comprehensive database comprises over 100,000 leading scientists globally, evaluated using standardized citation indicators such as H-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator (c-score). The list, covering 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields, was meticulously curated by assessing the scholars' career-long impact until the end of 2022 and their citation impact in the single calendar year 2022, according to the Science-Metrix classification.

Adjunct. Prof. Dr. Kevin D. Hyde, a distinguished lecturer of the School of Science and the Director of the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research, earned a remarkable position in the world's top 2% scientists for both career-long citation impact and the single-year citation impact in 2022.

Additionally, the university celebrates eight other lecturers who secured a spot among the world's top 2% scientists for the single-year citation impact in 2022. These exceptional scholars include:

1. Dr. Saranyaphat Boonmee, a lecturer of the Bioscience program, School of Science;
2. Dr. Ruvishika Shehali Jayawardena, a lecturer of the Bioscience program, School of Science;
3. Dr. Thilini Chethana Kandawatte Wedaralalage, a lecturer of the School of Science; and
4. Dr. Chayanard Phukhamsakda, a dedicated researcher at the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research.
