2025 Mycology Seminar Series - January
หมวดหมู่ข่าว: Fungal ActivityThe opening talk of our 2025 Mycology Seminar Series, a special event celebrating Prof. Kevin D. Hyde’s 70th birthday took place on 30th January 2025, at 3:00 PM. Dr. Thilini Chethana Kandawatte Wedaralalage (Lecturer, School of Science) delivered an insightful lecture on "Fungi and Climate Change: Understanding the Role of Fungal Communities in Ecosystem Dynamics" for this event organized by the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research, Mae Fah Luang University. This insightful session set the stage for an exciting year-long seminar series of discussions on fungal research. The session provided an excellent opportunity for researchers and students to deepen their understanding of how fungal communities influence and respond to climate change, contributing to ecosystem dynamics. The interactive session allowed participants to have meaningful discussions on research gaps and new methodologies. It also opened the opportunity for future collaborative work. With a successful start, we look forward to upcoming sessions every month where different research groups will present their work, share challenges, and explore potential collaborations.
