2025 Mycology Seminar Series - February(2 session)

The second talk in our 2025 Mycology Seminar Series took place on 7th February 2025, featuring Dr. Tom May, Principal Research Scientist (Mycology) and Secretary of the Nomenclature Committee for Fungi at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Melbourne. He delivered an engaging lecture on "Challenges and Opportunities for Innovations in Nomenclature", providing valuable insights into advancements and issues in fungal taxonomy. This online session fostered an in-depth discussion on the evolving landscape of fungal nomenclature, addressing key challenges and exploring future possibilities for improvement. Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and gain a deeper understanding of innovative approaches in the field. As we continue with the series, we look forward to upcoming sessions that will further enrich our knowledge and encourage collaborative research in mycology.
